Course Overview
The biopharmaceutical industry is a highly knowledge-intensive sector, where patient safety, product quality, and operational performance depend on the effective management of knowledge and know-how across the product lifecycle.
This TU Dublin–accredited Knowledge Management (KM) micro-credential is designed specifically for life science and biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations. The programme equips participants with practical frameworks, tools, and confidence to unlock the value of organisational knowledge, improve decision-making, and strengthen operational and quality performance — every batch, every day.

Programme Structure
The programme follows a proven KM framework, combining virtual instructor-led sessions with interactive in-person workshops. Participants apply learning directly to a real business challenge within their organisation.
Delivery approach:
Blended learning (approximately 70% self-study, 30% live delivery)
- Six online Instructor-Led live webinars (2 hours each) – weekly
- Student self – learning commitment of 2 to 3 hours per week for course project work
- Two Face – to Face (in person) workshops
- Opportunity to avail of Two dedicated 1:1 Coaching Sessions during the course to support the development of your Organisational KM Project (schedule of coaching sessions to be agreed upon commencement)

Strong focus on practical application and measurable impact
- Course Assessment is Project-Based, focused on a real world KM Project undertaken within the participant’s organisation

Entry Requirements-
- The candidates should have at least 3 years of working experience within the BioPharmaChem sector.
- Ideally a minimum of 2 participants from an organisation for the course is recommended as it’s a project based course and requires practical approach to the workshops. Although, individual applicants are also welcome to join.
Eligibility Criteria for Skillnet Funding:
- Skillnet Funding can only be applied where the employer pays the course fees on behalf of the student.
- Self-employed applicants can avail of the subsidy.
- BioPharmaChem Skillnet will issue the invoice directly to you or your organisation.
- Public-sector and companies outside of the Republic of Ireland are not eligible for the subsidy.
